Orbital Fracture Repair

Orbital Fracture Repair

Blunt trauma to the eye region can sometimes cause a fracture of the bones surrounding the eye. In many cases, these do not require treatment, but in some cases, surgical correction is required. Dr. Sullivan will perform a complete exam and order/review imaging of the orbit to determine if surgery is required. Surgery is aimed at restoring the normal anatomy to the eye socket and releasing any muscles that may have become trapped in the fracture site leading to double vision.
